The Croatian gas market is organized pursuant to the Energy Act, the Regulation of Energy Activities, the Gas Market Act, and secondary legislation arising from the Gas Market Act.
Responsibility of gas market stakeholders is established according to the balance group model.
Rules on the Organization of the Gas Market establish balance group responsibilities and obligations regulate contractual relationships and activities on the gas market.
The Trading platform is established to provide trading to all balance groups and transport system operator in order to balance the transport system in accordance with conditions of the Commission Regulation (EU) No 312/2014 of 26 March 2014 establishing a Network Code on Gas Balancing of Transmission Networks.
In order to accelerate and simplify the process on the Croatian gas market HROTE - Croatian Energy Market Operator Ltd. was developed an information system, which is used by the balance groups, gas suppliers, transport system operator and distribution system operators.
The information system is the central site for changing gas suppliers.
